The Wallace Arts Trust Collection is an incomparable cultural and historical resource of contemporary New Zealand art ranging from 1931 to present day, and numbering at over 5,000 artworks including paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, AV works and various other multimedia works.
The Collection grows exponentially with several hundred artworks being acquired every year from emerging artists and artists as they develop and mature.
Nothing is ever sold, as the purpose of the Collection is to act as a ‘diary’ covering many decades of art creation in New Zealand. You can view works in the collection by searching highlights, selected themes and points of interest, or by doing a detailed search by artist, title, themes and points of interest, or simply using the quick search option.
