In our Artist Workshop Series, local artists share their inspiration and skills with children in a series of free classes.
This month we bring you a Zine Making workshop with Gabbie De Baron. What is a Zine? It’s a personal, mini, less commercial version of a magazine! In this workshop, kids will be taught how to make a collection of their creative bursts and put it into a booklet they can enjoy!
No reservation is required, but spaces will be limited and available on a first-come basis.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Gabbie De Baron is a Graphic Designer by day and a crafts enthusiast by night. Gabbie has obtained a Bachelor's Degree and an Honours Degree in Fine Arts, from The University of Auckland.
Her experience mainly revolves around publication design and zine-making. When not engulfed by workplace dread, she spends her time writing on her blog, Gabbie's Gabs, and her handmade jewellery start-up, Gabebe's. She also loves to crochet, cook, illustrate, and make vlogs.
