Music at Midday: Composer & Pianist

Saturday 16 March, 12-1pm
FREE Event
Classical Piano with Michael Bell

Pianist Michael Bell brings us a wide range of styles, including Byrd, Pachelbel, Bach, Mozart, Harold Arlen, Beatles, Elton John and some of his own compositions. He currently shares organ duties at St Luke’s Presbyterian and is the resident organist and music teacher at Kings School in Remuera.

He was also Director of Music at St Matthews in the City between 2002 and 2016 and his early exploits as a pianist were as an improviser and included playing for lunchtime audiences at 246 Queen St. He enjoys composing and his mass “Come, Christmas Child” premiered in November in Kerikeri.

Music at Midday returns to Pah Homestead with an hour of free live music from 12 to 1pm each Saturday.

Auckland is rich with a diverse range of creative musical talent and we celebrate this every week.  Sit down in the drawing room to enjoy the live music, or peruse the galleries while you listen to the music drifting through the building.
